Prior to the construction of the CBeebies Land Hotel, hotel guests could avoid the hustle and bustle of the Monorail and venture into the theme park through the surrounding forest via the Woodland Walk. The pathway lead directly to Forbidden Valley, with it taking approximately 10 minutes to walk along the path.
As the entrance to the Woodland Walk was no longer accessible upon the CBeebies Land Hotel being built at the back of what was formerly just the gardens of the Alton Towers Hotel, the Resort instead started to utilise the gates adjacent to Galactica’s portal to provide a new entrance to the theme park exclusively for use by hotel guests. This also enabled evening access to the Rollercoaster Restaurant.
