Alton Towers Resort have today announced their new Season Pass for the 2018 theme park season.
Costing £55, the same price as an on the day ticket for the theme park, the new Season Pass will be valid from 17th March until 4th November for entry to the theme park only. However, the pass does have a significant number of exclusion dates including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during August, the first Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of September, and all Scarefest and Fireworks dates. On these dates Season Pass holders will need to purchase an additional entry ticket at a cost of £10 per person. Pass holders will also need to pay for parking on each visit with this not being included in the pass.
The new Season Pass replaces the former Alton Towers Annual Pass which was discontinued at the end of 2017. Whilst the Season Pass is being offered at a cheaper price, many will be disappointed to see the addition of the exclusion dates and the removal of inclusive parking from the benefits of the pass. Currently, Alton Towers Resort is the only Merlin Attraction to offer this new style season pass, it is as yet unknown if the other Merlin theme parks will offer a similar product.
