Halloween may be just around the corner, however, Alton Towers Resort are already looking further ahead confirming that, for the first time, the theme park will be open to day visitors for the first time on selected dates this December.
On 12th, 13th, and 18th to 23rd December the theme park will be open for guests to visit between 10am to 5pm with a selection of attractions open, including Sonic Spinball, Mutiny Bay (including Sharkbait Reef), CBeebies Land and Cloud Cuckoo Land. Plus, new for 2015 will be a 10 minute Christmas themed experience – the Elves’ Emporium (the location for which is currently unknown). Guests will also be able to benefit from free parking. Tickets will cost £25 for adults and £22.50 for children aged 2-12 (with children under 2 going free). Annual pass holders will be able to gain admission with their passes, however will need to pre-book entry. In previous years the theme park has only opened its gates to hotel guests staying over as part of one of the Resort’s many themed weekends throughout the closed season and for February Half Term, 2015 will be the first time day guests will be able to visit the park without having to stay at the Resort Hotels.
These latest announcements regarding Christmas openings follow on from the confirmation of the return of the popular Santa’s Sleepovers at the resort which this year will include additional entertainment in the form of a pantomime – Cinderella – performed free for all hotel guests, in addition to a visit from Santa Claus, Christmas dinner and breakfast, and access to the waterpark.
