After planning permission was granted earlier this year, construction has now commenced on the third new addition at Alton Towers Resort for the 2015 season – Enchanted Forest Tree Top Quest.
Clearance work is well underway across the site which has seen the ground being landscaped and various trees being wither removed or cut back.
Several of the poles which will hold the platforms between obstacles have been put in place, although some have been positioned very close to the road which runs alongside the site. There are also a number of poles on site ready to be installed. On a few of the poles the skeleton structure for the platforms can be seen to have been added.
Foundations are also been put in place for what will be the main reception, office, store room and café building, located towards the eastern side of the site.
