For a number of months it has been rumoured that an Alton Towers App for mobile devices would be created for the resort, today the app was released. Currently the free app is only available for Apple devices such as the iPhone and the iPod Touch, it is currently not known if other platforms will be supported in the future.
The main features of the app are:

- Interactive Map
- Ride Rater
- Coaster Counter
- G-Force Your Face
- Tip Planner
- Photos, Video and a Virtual Tour
- Car Locator
TowersTimes have tried out the app and we feel that the app is a great product and includes a number of very useful features. The car locator feature is particularly useful, especially over the summer when there will be a large number of cars at the resort when sometimes it is difficult to remember were you parked your car!
And as summer and the end of season events such as Scarefest and the Fireworks approach the “Q Line Fun” section of the app will entertain guests during the queues with features such as Random Facts, Videos, a Quiz and even a Scavenger Hunt.
One of the main features of the app is the ability to vote for your favourite ride in the All Time Greats marketing campaign that is currently underway at the theme park. Don’t forget to vote for your favourite Alton Towers ride ever, TowersTimes are supporting Nemesis!
