From today (Saturday 2nd April), The Flume has a new minimum height limit of 1.2m when accompanied by an adult and 1.3m when unaccompanied. The ride previously operated with a minimum height limit of 0.9m accompanied and 1.1m unaccompanied.
In addition, Marauder’s Mayhem has also had it’s minimum height limit increased from it’s original limited of 0.9m accompanied/1.1m unaccompanied. The new minimum height limit is now 1.1m accompanied/1.2m unaccompanied.
Chessington World of Adventures recently implemented the same new height restriction to their flume ride Dragon Falls, and it was explained the changes are followed a review of the ride by independent safety groups and the ride’s manufacturer Mack Rides GmbH.
The two rides are highly popular with families, and the change is sure to cause disappointment amongst younger guests.
