Alton Towers have finally added opening hours for the whole of the 2011 season, which begins on Saturday, 19th February and ends on Sunday, 6th November. It will be closed from Monday, 28th February to Friday, 25th March 2011 inc.
Opening hours follow much the same pattern as the 2010 season, with February Half Term opening being from 10.00am to 4.00pm. During the rest of the season, ride closes follow the pattern of 5, 5.30 or 6.00pm aside from the school summer holiday period when the park will open until 7.00pm.
Scarefest looks set to be confirmed from 15-31 October 2011, with the event extended by one day in order to continue on Halloween itself – which will not be during the schools half term. During the event, rides will open until 9.00pm – the fifth season in a row that this has happened!
Most notably however, appears to be late opening from 4-6 November 2011. This would suggest that the theme park will bring fireworks back for a second year running, as rides will open until 9.00pm.
We are delighted that the parks two major events look set to return in 2011 and can only look forward to more events through the summer being added as time goes on.
