Alton Towers Resort will be hoping for a carnival atmosphere as they bring the first major live music event in a decade to the theme park on Sunday, 23rd May.
With acts including Rick Astley, Kim Wilde, Bananarama and Midge Ure of Ultravox fame on the bill, it’s set to be a day of celebration in front of the famous Towers themselves in what is one of the most beautiful settings in the UK. Towers Street itself has already been decked out with bunting and a giant birthday cake for the celebrations which will continue throughout the season.
BBC Weather forecasters are predicting scorching 28C temperatures with sunshine all day for the event, which also comes with a late ride close of 8pm so that guests can enjoy a lazy evening relaxing in the warm or getting an adrenalin fix on rides.
TowersTimes looks forward to bringing you news following the event and don’t forget that the concert comes at no extra charge to regular ticket purchases. Annual Pass Holders are advised to arrive early to avoid dissapointment.
