The famous Theme Park at Alton Towers Resort will open daily from 9.00am for Annual Pass Holders, Hotel Guests and Advance Ticket Holders from altontowers.com with a selection of rides available as part of Early Ride Time. All the other attractions will open at 10.00am when all guests will be able to enter the park. ERT does not operate in February, during Scarefest or during Adrenalin Week.

The park will follow a closing pattern similar to 2009. February will have a 4pm ride close for the Half Term event. Most weekday ride closes early in the season will be set at 5pm (some extensions to 5.30pm) and weekends pushed to 5.30pm or 6.00pm. Come June, ride closes are 5.30pm or 6.00pm daily, with some extensions to 6.30pm. July follows a mixed pattern, with some weekends at 6.00pm and some at 5.30pm. July weekdays, often a peak with school visits, are mainly at 6.00pm with some days at 5.30pm.
From 24th July to 4th September ride close is pushed to 7pm. From then, September follows a weekday close of 5pm with weekends at 5.30pm or 6.00pm. Until 15th October, October is a 5.00pm weekday and 5.00pm/5.30pm weekend ride close with the Halloween Scarefest from 16-31 October when ride close will be 9.00pm. Adrenalin Week is presumably back from 1-6 November when ride close is 4.00pm.
The Monorail generally opens at 8.30am daily and closes 1 hour after ride close – exceptions to this rule may apply in February, Scarefest and Adrenalin Week.
