As part of SW6’s marketing drive, Alton Towers have announced Tony Adkins as their new security consultant.
Mr. Adkins, who has previously been seen as Simon Cowell’s bodyguard on shows such as X Factor, will be responsible for directing and providing advice to the park’s own in house security team.
The announcement goes on to mention that interest in the new addition to the park “is so intense that theme park bosses felt it necessary to appoint somebody who has experience of dealing with aggressive fans.”

There is a die-hard fan base out there dedicated to the discovery of information about the new ride and the Resort is desperately trying to keep it under wraps. We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Tony, whose previous experience of working in a celebrity environment will stand him in good stead to deal with our superfans.
