Skyride to be closed “for the forseeable future”

After we first reported the fire which took place on Tuesday evening a little after 10.30pm, fire crews spent several hours getting the blaze under control. Several rides were unavailable early on Wednesday, but most have since re-opened with the obvious exception to Skyride which, Alton Towers claim, will be closed for the “forseeable future” whilst investigative and rebuilding work is carried out.

TowersTimes presume that this will therefore mean that the Skyride will not be operational until at least the start of the 2010 season next March.
