2005 is set to be a fantastic season- we have Rita: Queen of Speed due to open in Spring in Ug Land next to the famous Corkscrew roller coaster- this speed demon launch’s riders from 0-100kmp in under 3 seconds…. Now that’s fast!
Investments elsewhere include the re-installation of the climbing wall in Forbidden Valley on the old Dynamo site, previously this attraction was housed in Ug Land but has been re-sited to make room for Rita!
£100,000 is being invested into the parks admissions systems to improve on queuing times and increase guest satisfaction. The new automated system should be ready and working for the start of 2005 after testing and training throughout February.
After the large queues at guest services on peak days last summer, a new layout and design is to be implemented in the guest services on Towers Street. Again this should improve the guests experience and allow staff to solve problems or queries more efficiently.
The quality of sound is being improved across the park including around Towers Street, Merrie England and the Monorail. In addition little changes such as the refurbishment of the Storybook land bookworm are projected to keep the magic alive in 2005!
