Along with Squirrel Nutty, the Bookworm was one of the original residents of Storybook Land, sitting on his pond at the heart of the area, where he dispensed his wisdom to all that would listen.

The Bookworm could be found sitting across the pond in Storybook Land waiting to speak to passing guests, whilst guests on the Squirrel Nutty Ride traveled by above. Guests could press the button on his magic book and, depending on his mood, the Bookworm might have told them a story, sang them a song or even told them a joke!
As a result of the area’s retheme to CBeebies Land for 2014, the Bookworm was removed after the end of the 2013 season. In its place opened the Something Special Sensory Garden, with all trace of the former attraction having been removed.
