The Splash Cats were originally located in Aqualand in the Ingestre Lake, in front of the stable building, before later moving to the main lake.

The boats were installed during the 1960s and remained in the Ingestre Lake until they were replaced in 1987 by the Swan Boats.

In 1987 they were moved to the main lake were there resided in the shallow area alongside Kiddies Kingdom (now Adventure Land).

They remained on the main lake until 1996 when, along with the Rowing Boats, they were removed.
