Just outside of Berry Bish Bash, a large cockerel could be seen sat atop a thatched roof, watching guests enjoy Old MacDonald’s Farmyard. This cockerel was in fact above Doodle Doo Derby where animals including including cows, chickens and sheep were waiting to take children for a ride while their parents could take place in the miniature stable at the centre of the carousel.
To add to the farmyard fun, each animal also had a button which, when pressed, would produce the respective animal’s noise – this could sometimes make for a very noisy attraction!
Doodle Doo Derby was actually one of the original attractions to open in Old MacDonald’s Farmyard back in 1995, located at the centre of the area and partially built over the duck-pond which could previously be found in the area.
The derby eventually came to an end in late 2013, with the area rethemed to CBeebies Land for 2014 which saw the attraction become The Numtums Number-Go-Round with children now riding on Numtum Carts. That iteration was subsequently rethemed itself to Bugbie Go Round.
