After hosting the ‘Chocolate Follies’ show for the inaugural Chocolate Towers event, the Cred Street Theatre once again became home to a popular children’s television character; Bob the Builder, being the third in a row to take up home in the theatre.
Bob the Builder first aired on the nation’s TV screens back in 1999 on the BBC and went on to be a children’s broadcasting success in America, Japan, Germany and 120 other countries worldwide. As with the television series, ‘Men Behaving Badly’ star, Neil Morrissey, narrated the voice of Bob during the show in which young children especially enjoyed dancing and singing along to the many songs.
The usual show times were 1.00pm, 2.30pm and 4.00pm, though during the Great British Bucket and Spade event Bob moved out of the theatre, when the Draw-A-Toon show was held in the theatre instead.
