The Resort unveiled a “world of thrilliant events” for 2023, although the line-up remained largely the same as 2022. Nonetheless, this meant that there was a different event to experience in almost every month of the season!
February Half Term
It was a complete pirate takeover during February Half Term, with the theme park also accessible to day visitors alongside short break guests.
Festival of Thrills
Following its debut in 2022, The Smiler took over this returning event to make sure everything was corrected for its 10th anniversary year!
Mardi Gras
The colourful sights and lively sounds of Mardi Gras returned for another year, bringing a variety of entertainment and special food options.
Oktoberfest
Now an established part of the seasonal event calendar, the Resort’s family fun festival returned, featuring live entertainment and European cuisine.
Scarefest
2023 featured the debut of a new scare escape attraction and new scare zone, alongside returning scare mazes and family-friendly entertainment.
Fireworks
The three-night fireworks spectacular returned to close out the season with a display themed to fantasy fairytale adventure.
Run Alton Towers
11th-12th November – The theme park was once again host to a 5k, 10k and half marathon over the course of the weekend following the end of the theme park season, with rides and attractions available for runners and spectators to enjoy.
Christmas
The 2023 Christmas offering was geared more towards short break guests, although day visitors could also enjoy the line-up of selected attractions.
