The 2015 theme park season ended with a bang, as Alton Towers Resort held its fantastical 3-day firework event, this year overseen by Sir Algenon. Guests could enjoy rides in the dark, before being enchanted by a wonderous firework display.
Key Information
Dates: 6th – 8th November 2015
Opening Times: 10am to 9pm
Preshow Time: 6:45pm
Display Time: 7pm, lasting for around 25 minutes
For the first time in recent years, the show included a new live performance element featuring six musicians and the eccentric inventor Sir Algenon which combined illuminated dance, acting and striking special effects. Plus an incredible surprise showpiece, Sir Algenon’s ‘Sonic Visualiser’, brought lights, lasers and sound together in a new and memorable way!
With the famous Towers as the backdrop, the spectacular was no ordinary show – telling a unique story with an astonishing amount of fireworks, amazing music and incredible lasers that lit up the night sky. With the finale music specially composed by IMAscore and recorded by the theatrical 56 piece Budapest Symphony Orchestra to include soundtracks from many of the Resort’s most popular attractions from Hex to Nemesis, the fireworks spectacular lasted for over 20 minutes and was guaranteed to take your breath away!
A standard theme park admission ticket allowed guests to watch the display.
After 4pm tickets were also available on Friday 6th November only, allowing entry to the theme park, including the fireworks display, at the discounted price of £24 on-the-day or £18 if booked in advance.
