Nemesis has once again been voted the best looping rollercoaster around the world by global enthusiasts. The ride, which opened in 1994, may be one of the smallest and most compact of its type, but is revered for its tight helixes, fast inversions and terrain hugging layout.
It has been placed, overall, in 7th position – mainly behind speed/height based rollercoasters such as the acclaimed Bizarro (Superman) in the USA, Expedition Ge Force in Germany and Piraten in Denmark.
The full breakdown of UK Coasters in the poll this year is as follows (world position in brackets):
1. Nemesis, Alton Towers (7)
