Staffordshire Moorlands District Council’s website now has a planning application for the erection of Corkscrew’s loops located on the park’s entrance plaza. The planned addition would span the width of the plaza, just in front of where the current ticket kiosks are located.
In keeping with the park’s current branding, the structure would also be repainted, with the supports gold and the track itself painted purple. At present it is unknown whether the rest of the area would also undergo some sort of refurbishment.
If the plans are accepted, the loops would be a huge eye catching welcome to guests entering the park from just in front of its planned location. A decision is expected on the application by 5th February.
