It has been revealed that Alton Towers are looking into a third resort hotel to compliment the existing Splash Landings and Alton Towers hotels in a further boost to the resort.
Alton Towers opened their most recent hotel, Splash Landings, in 2003. The hotels are popular year round and even when the theme park is closed, corporate guests and a solid Christmas and New Year event ensure that the bed sheets get changed day after day. Following the introduction of February Half Term opening on the theme park, the much rumoured Christmas addition to the theme park season would also be seen to be key for any such development.
With the resorts 10-year plan due for release to the wider community in the next couple of months, Liz Greenwood, the corporate communications manager for the resort, has said that they are currently investigating a third hotel in addition to multi-million pound investments to suit all ages over the coming years.
