Scarefest at the Alton Towers Resort has now begun! The latest event at the resort is set to be one of the biggest ever with a great set of new attractions. Details of the event are as follows;
On The Theme Park
Terror Of The Towers
The Towers’ ruins play host to the Terror of the Towers: Bloodfest Banquet, which has returned to the park for its 4th appearance. Between 12pm – 9pm, the brave that enter will be prepared to be taken to the Master’s banquet.
Recent previews for this year’s Bloodfest Banquet have highlighted changes to the maze from 2007, with everything set for 12 midday for the first guests.
Fastrack for this attraction is priced at £4, and is in limited supply.

Duel: Live!
Over in Gloomy Wood, Duel is set to become more scary to settle into the Scarefest event. From 3pm-9pm, actors will be set to pounce on the unsuspecting throughout the course of the ride.

Haunted Hollow: Live!
As with Duel, the Huanted Hollow is receieving something extra again for the Scarefest event. Actors will be walking the route from 2pm-9pm.

Trick or Treat Doors
Trick or Treat doors are returning for this years Scarefest event. The location has slightly changed to outside the entrance of Hex, and opposite Rita’s Chicken & Ribs.
The attraction’s half an hour shows are mainly for the little-ones of the family, where they can receive a trick or treat by knocking on the doors.
Show Times: 12.30; 2.30; 4.30; 6.30; 7.30.

The Haunting of Algenons Attic
The Wonders of Sir Algenons attic in the Cred Street Theatre is also receiving chnages for Scarefest. The new show starts from today, where guests can join Lucy in finding what is causing the Strange bumps in the night.

Meet and Greet with the Scarefest Characters
Look out on Towers Street and Cred Street between 10am and 9pm for Patch, Franklin, Skelvin and Phil, the Scarefest mascots.

Over at the Hotels
Boiler House
Located next to the car park of the Alton Towers Hotel, the new for 2008 Boiler House will see guests joining the caretaker as he investigates noises coming from the plumbing and a missing employee.
The Boiler House is open from 5pm-11pm.

Field of 1000 Screams
After a very successful debut in 2007, the Field of 1000 Screams is to return for 2008. Located in the same position adjacent to the Alton Towers Hotel, the resident zombies are set to terrify those that dare to enter.
Field of 1000 Screams is open from 5pm-11pm.

Both the Boiler House and Field of 1000 Screams are open to non-hotel guests. Each attraction is ticketed. Tickets cost £5 for each maze, or £8 for a combined maze ticket. These tickets are available from the Sales & Information team in the Theme Park, or by booking in advance online with a Theme Park ticket.
In the early evenings the little ones can chase away the spooks that live under the bed by joining Pirate Bill on his Ghost Hunt, while later guests are invited to Dance with the Devil by joining the hotels’ entertainment team for their nightly caberet show.
Also for the brave at heart the hotels are this year offering Trick or Treat Rooms, filled with family fun and a host of surprises. And what better way to end your stay then with a Character Breakfast, featuring a host of the resort’s Halloween mascots.
