Once upon a time there was a tortured mind, which in the darkness was left to unwind. With otherwise familiar stories rewritten to make nightmares come true, guests saw a whole new side to their favourite characters in Scary Tales.
Entering opposite the Hospitality Suite, guests would first venture through the sweet-filled woods where they would encounter Hansel and Gretel.
Next was Snow White and the Woodsman, followed by a small mirror maze where Red Riding Hood and her grandmother awaited.
To escape from Scary Tales, the final characters that guests would have to get past were the Three Little Pigs!
Located on the site formerly occupied by Carnival of Screams, Scary Tales was to feature for just one year before departing the Scarefest line-up.
The attraction was not directly replaced by another attraction for Scarefest 2015. Although it did provide an alternative safe route to guests wanting to avoid the Freak Show scare zone during Scarefest 2016 and 2017, it wasn’t until Freak Show: Toxic Junkyard was added as an outdoor scare maze for 2020’s event that this area was utilised for a Scarefest attraction once again.
