With Scarefest just over a week away, Alton Towers have released video footage of an angry protest at the park gates by clowns apparantly furious that the resort are opening a Carnival of Screams from 16-31 October.
Holding placards and waving banners, the angry clowns stated that the “Carnival of Screams could do to Clowns what Jaws did to Sharks”. Morwenna Angove, in her final Scarefest as Marketing Director of the resort said that the attraction will “open as planned” – regardless of any protests.

Meanwhile, inside the park, preparations for Terror of The Towers are also well underway, with much of the sets and theming for the horror walkthrough already in place.
Scarefest begins on 16th October with rides and attractions open until 9:00pm with the Carnival of Screams and Boiler House open near the Alton Towers Hotel until 11:00pm!
